The Free State Foundation will hold a policy seminar, "Thinking the Unthinkable: Imposing the 'Utility Model' on Internet Providers," on November 14, beginning at 8:45 a.m. A group of prominent experts will focus on the Federal Communications Commission's pending Net Neutrality proceeding.
The Free State Foundation is pleased that FCC Commissioners Ajit Pai and Michael O'Rielly will each deliver Opening Remarks.
(On November 7, Ruth Milkman, Chief of Staff, FCC, cancelled her scheduled appearance to deliver opening remarks. FSF was informed no other senior FCC staff are available to attend.)
Following Commissioner Pai's and Commissioner O'Reilly's remarks, there will be a panel discussion among the following experts:
Robert Crandall - Nonresident Senior Fellow, Economic Studies Program, Brookings Institution, and member of FSF's Board of Academic Advisors
Gerald Faulhaber - Professor Emeritus of Business Economics and Public Policy at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and former Chief Economist, FCC
Jeff Pulver - Internet and VoIP Pioneer
Deborah Taylor Tate - FSF Distinguished Adjunct Senior Fellow, and former FCC Commissioner
Michael Weinberg - Vice President, Public Knowledge
Moderator: Randolph May - President, Free State Foundation
There will be time for audience questions, so join the discussion.
