New Life
Swiss Chard seedlings
Swiss Chard Seedlings

While we celebrate New Years on the first of January, to me, spring feels more like the beginning of a new year.  For those religions that follow the solar calendar, such as Judaism and Christianity, spring coincides with Passover and Easter.  It is a time of resurrection and of new life.  On the farm this is a time of leaving cold soil and entering the warmth the sun brings.  This is a time when dormant plants and seeds rise up into new life that brings life-bearing food to many others.

Spring is a time when we leave darkness behind and see the light of a new year, when the warmth draws us outside.  It is a time of new growth, a time of waking up, a time of freedom from the bondage of cold darkness, a time to grow, a time of life.  All of this relates to us spiritually and physically.  This relates to all life; to the life of the seeds and the plants.  In watching the life around us beginning to blossom, we too can grow into a new, better, healthier life of tomorrow.

After the success of our spring home delivery pilot we'll be continuing to offer home delivery this summer in Andover & North Andover.  Delivery can be expected on Monday afternoons. Details on pricing and registration can be found here.

If you work in an office in Andover or North Andover and have multiple co-workers interested in the vegetable shares there will be a discount for delivery of more than five vegetable shares.  Contact Ginger for more information.

Wilmington

Our new pickup location at the Wilmington Memorial Library is proving to be a popular location.  We expect shares to sell out in Wilmington so if it's your preferred pick up location don't wait too long to register!

New Location! Boston-Roxbury

We are excited to be partnering with the Madison Park Development Corporation and Northeast Organic Farming Association this summer to offer our pre-boxed vegetable shares and fruit shares in Roxbury.  Pick up will be on Tuesday afternoons from 3 - 6 pm at 184 Dudley Street.  Less then 1 mile from the Ruggles T station.
