Steele "Represents" at Destination Imagination!
On Saturday, March 12, we had four teams from Steele participate in the Denver Regional Destination Imagination (DI) competition. Teams that placed in the top three in their challenge category were selected to go on to the state competition. We had two teams that were selected to move on to the statewide competition, which will be held on April 9 at the Auraria campus. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Jenny Cargile's team, which not only took first place in their challenge, they also donated their trophy to the school. Feel free to stop by the office and check it out -- we're housing it there until we decide where to officially display it.

I would like to send a special thank-you to Mr. Miller, our parent volunteers, and our DI students for doing such a great job of representing Steele. The parent volunteers and Mr. Miller held practice at least once a week for over three months. Stacy Crum, Jenny Cargile, Beth Kapadia, and Lindsey Ayers -- thank you very much for generously donating your time, patience, and expertise!

Cheers,
Kevin

Containers are in classrooms for students to put their box tops in. Questions? Contact Ms, Parks, Room 306.
