2nd Annual Ride United Event

Ride 15, 50 or 100 Miles!!!!

 

All riders will leave from Rotary Park at Heritage Landing, the site of the 2012 Day of Caring, at 8 a.m. and return there at the end. The Century Ride will take the scenic lakeshore loop ridersnorth to Goodrich Park in Whitehall and back to Rotary Park at Heritage Landing (50), then out to Ravena and back on the Musketawa Trail (35), then out to the Lake Michigan shore and back (15). Those who will be riding in the 15 mile ride will start with the last loop. 50 Mile riders will be able to choose to start north or to start with the 15 mile loop and continue on the 35 mile loop.

  

Riders pay a fee to register and that includes the cost of the jersey.  Riders are encouraged to secure pledges for United Way.  Visit our website for updated route information. For information or to register go to ridemi.org  and click on the "REGISTER" banner. To ensure sufficient time to order Ride United Jerseys, riders are encouraged to sign up by Friday, August 23, 2013.

Women's Leadership Network  

 

Every Woman's Place/Webster House, 175 W. Apple Ave., is in immediate need of a children's waiting room. When mothers come with their children for the initial intake interview there is not a safe place for the children to wait. There is a small room that will accommodate 4 to 5 adults working at a time that the WLN group will work on.

  

EVERY WOMAN'S PLACE WISH LIST:  Chalk board wall, multi color chalk, TV, DVD player, Books for all ages of children, Book Shelf, Games-(not a lot of small pieces), Rocking Chair, Dolls, Trucks, Portable Play Pen.  You can drop off your donations to United Way, 31 East Clay Avenue, downtown Muskegon.

Dr. Elizabeth Day, an alumna of Mona Shores High School, was in town on Friday, July 26 and gave a free lecture on "Raising an Ethical Child" at the Muskegon Museum of Art.
