Dear Forklift Fans,
Have you ever given several hundred dollars or more to your favorite charity?
If so, we would love to get your advice! Community Forklift has the opportunity to take advantage of an enhanced giving program, where large donors could receive extra tax credits for their support. It's a really cool way for the state to support our work. But it won't happen unless we figure out how to reach generous fans, and build a major donor program.
That is where your advice comes in. What has motivated you to support charities in the past? Why do you think someone might consider a large donation to the Forklift? How can we spread the word about the jobs we create, and the ways we help local nonprofits and neighbors in need?
If you have a few minutes, I'd love to brainstorm with you. I'll even take you to coffee if you have the time. Just contact me at Nancy(at)CommunityForklift.org or 301-985-5180.
Gratefully,
Nancy J. Meyer

Big thanks to our Summer Interns
You probably know that Community Forklift works to create good green jobs for local adults, including those who have barriers to employment. But did you know that we also introduce young people to sustainable career paths? This summer, Community Forklift hosted two wonderful interns from the End Time Harvest Ministry's Wellness Ambassador Program at Bladensburg High School. We were blown away by their energy, creativity, and hard work! Visit our blog to read about the experience in their own words.
