Dear Forklift Fans,

Our last workshop of the summer series ends today, school is back in session, and the air is crisp and cool in the early morning.  It's safe to say that the end of the summer is near.

Here's a look at the things we've accomplished together over the last 6 months:

We've served 198 community members by donating $20,000 in appliances and other home essentials to neighbors in need.

garden tool collection

Awarded over $21,000 in building materials to 65 schools and community groups, impacting an estimated 17,683 folks in the DC region.

Hosted two parties for our closest 2,500 friends, and provided 21 free reuse and home repair workshops for over 200 attendees.

Provided outreach activities and public education about reuse at 56 community festivals and partner events.

Needless to say, we've been busy lifting up our community with the donations and business you've sent our way.

From everyone here at the Forklift, we thank you so much for your support!

More info about our fall workshop series and events is coming soon, so keep an eye on our Facebook page or Twitter feed.

Call for Rebranding Proposals

Does this logo make you think of a fun, offbeat community reuse center?  (Or would you assume it's a logo for a forklift company located in subdivision?)

We think it's time for a new logo!  We need something that better reflects the creative vibe here, our beautiful materials, and the strong Forklift community.
Community Forklift seeks a consultant with extensive experience in rebranding nonprofit organizations.  Familiarity with waste reduction and reuse issues would be a big plus.

For more information, see our proposal request here:

See you at the warehouse soon!

Sincerely,
Your friends at the Forklift
