Want to do something really COOL??

Bring us your Air Conditioners!

As many of you know, Community Forklift offers free home essentials to families in need through our HELP program (read Yachad's recent mention of our programs here)

Right now, we have a significant waiting list for A/C window units and with the recent spike in temperatures, families, folks with health issues, and seniors are suffering.

Please help us lift up our local community by bringing in window A/C units in good working order.

THANKS!

We've just received a big donation of fridges, stoves, & beautiful wood furniture - all thanks to you!

Sometimes I'll meet someone new, and when I tell them I work at Community Forklift, they'll lean in and whisper, "Oh, I love that place!  But I don't want to tell anyone else because then all the good stuff will be snatched up too quickly, and there won't be anything for me."

I usually laugh and tell them not to worry.  It's true that as more people find out about our reuse center, items go out the door more quickly... but on the other hand, as word spreads, we get more donations too!!!   This means more jobs created, fewer materials going to waste, less pollution from incinerators, more free supplies given to nonprofits and neighbors in need - and more good stuff here in the warehouse for YOU!

Thanks to all of you wonderful blabbermouths, our donations crew stays very busy.  Every day, we're constantly getting calls from new donors - and just this week, we got some amazing new donations from large property managers!

One donor was an extended-stay hotel.  They are renovating all of their suites, and offered us some beautiful furniture.  Over the next few days, our warehouse team will be setting out an assortment of  gently-used, traditional -style furniture in good to very good condition.  We'll have end tables and nightstands from $38, large dressers with mirrors for $125, coffee tables from $38, and large TV armoires $125.  If you're interested, come in soon - and remember, all of our furniture is 20% off this month!

Another donor was a property manager of an apartment building.  They are renovating all of their units, and sent us some nice stoves and fridges.  We've got 14 standard-size refrigerators, tested and ready for sale.  They vary in brand, and range from $125-$225.  We also have 12 standard-size Whirlpool electric stoves.  They have been tested and are $165 each.  (And remember:  we do offer a 2-week return policy on appliances.  If you get one home and something goes wrong within 14 calendar days, just bring it back with your receipt for a refund).  These are going to disappear quickly!
