Since I began working at Phantom, I often get asked why do some have their RF pulled back and others don't? Well, there's a good explanation for this, it's an adjustment that correlates to his or her driving style, the size of the track, and/or the user's tire program.

On your chassis, the left front and right front caster block utilize 1 dowel pin (the dowel pin is not to be removed from the block) for lead and caster adjustment. The Triton is designed with lead adjustment on both the LF and RF. Reducing the lead will often times make the front end of the kart more responsive, transfer quicker and bite harder. On the contrary, increasing the lead will do the opposite, making the kart rotate later, and bite less. Each racer will need to experiment with the different settings to see which one better suits his/her driving style and track conditions. One way or another is not necessarily better. Stock position for the Triton is LF back (caster: 10°), RF forward (caster: 13°). And remember, be sure to check your toe and camber settings after you change the lead!
