Greetings!
Successful peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns aren't built overnight. They require months of thoughtful planning, a strong staff and a dedicated team of volunteers.
Before you begin all of that hard work, you need to be able to answer a simple question:
What is your #1 goal? The best campaigns are grounded in a clear idea of what they expect to accomplish. It may sound obvious. But too many organizations skip that crucial step.
Best,
David Hessekiel
President, Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum
P.S. Be on the lookout next month for an early registration offer for our 2016 conference - February 24 & 25 back in sunny Orlando!

The arrival of fall not only signifies sweater weather, but also crunch time for solidifying and executing end of year fundraising strategies, including #GivingTuesday. With all of the #GivingTuesday advice available, it can be difficult to know which article to read, which webinar to attend, and which toolkit to download to create your campaign.
Come up from the weeds and consider #GivingTuesday for what it is - a global day of generosity, made possible by individuals who care about important causes - including yours. Your organization isn't competing with other groups for a market share of goodwill - you are mobilizing those who care about your mission through a giving day that's been created for you. When put in those terms, it probably sounds simple - and it should. Your campaign plan doesn't need a brainstorming matrix or a high dollar budget to succeed.
The first step to developing a solid #GivingTuesday strategy is to show your constituents why your organization must exist. (What is the unique change you're trying to create in the world? Why are you the best fit for creating that change?)
Take the next steps in building your strategy for December 1st by checking out this blog post.
