THE LATEST IN P2P FUNDRAISING NEWS

IN THE APRIL ISSUE:
| |
 |
Greetings!
The first time I saw Anthony Carbajal's video about his family's battle with ALS, I was moved to tears.
Clearly, I was not alone. More than 16 million people have watched Anthony's video - and those viewers have collectively raised more than $3.8-million for the ALS Therapy Development Institute.
Not bad for a 7-minute video that he shot at home.
Peer-to-peer fundraisers are increasingly using online video as a tool to help them mobilize supporters and raise awareness for their campaigns. Some are poignant. Others make us laugh. All of them have the power to inspire supporters to raise money and spread the word about our work.
Over the coming weeks, we want to help peer-to-peer fundraisers see examples of effective videos through a new channel on our website.
But we can't do it alone. We need your help in unearthing the very best videos. If your organization - or one of your fundraisers - has created a peer-to-peer fundraising video, please share it with me or send it directly to Peter Panepento at peter@peertopeerforum.com. You can also share them on Twitter using the hashtag #P2PVideos
We'll be building a library of your videos that we hope will become a useful resource as you're looking for inspiration for your next campaign.
Sincerely,
David Hessekiel

During this one-hour session you will learn how to:
- Use text messaging to inspire your participants

New Research: The Future of P2P Fundraising
|

Did you know that 88% of nonprofit fundraising professionals think P2P fundraising totals will increase in the years to come?
What's more:
- 52% expect social and mobile apps to be the most popular channel for supporters to use for donations. Having a mobile app to make fundraising easier for your P2P participants will really step up your P2P event.
- 61% agree that young professionals are "the" group to boost P2P. This demographic is keen to finding creative outlets and loves participating in athletic challenges, but you still need a plan to recruit them.
- 25% believe Independent Fundraising Events (IFE) will see the most growth. If you're not already familiar with IFE/DIY Fundraising, it's time to start learning all you can about this growing P2P segment.
For more detail on a far-reaching survey by Charity Dynamics capturing the latest thinking from nonprofit fundraising professionals, watch for the forthcoming Future of Peer-to-Peer report. Like what you see? Visit the Charity Dynamics blog The Workshop
