THE LATEST IN PEER-TO-PEER FUNDRAISING NEWS
Dear

There are many forms of peer-to-peer fundraising out there as our most recent Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Thirty results demonstrated. Asking friends, family and colleagues for their support for a cause, or a new endeavor, is exploding -- one estimate puts all forms of crowdfunding at over $5 billion.

Craig Newmark, of craigslist fame, recently created an infographic, Cracking the Crowdfunding Code, with some fascinating stats:
  • More than 28 percent of donors on crowdfunding platforms are repeat donors, which speaks to the importance of cultivating your existing participant donor base. We hosted a terrific webinar last year with some great tips on how to unleash the power of your 'outliers,' the small, passionate group of supporters who deliver a disproportionate share of your revenue.
  • Fundraisers who use a video raise two times more than those without videos. And, It turns out that emotional, personal requests trump high-end video production. Here are some ideas for creating effective videos from a recent FundRaising Success article.
Now that Spring is finally here, training is getting underway for many of your programs. Be sure to equip your new and repeat participants with turnkey fundraising tools to get them off on the right foot.  You'll find lots of them at www.peertopeerforum.com
