A NEW LOOK.
MEETING YOUR NEEDS.

While so many of you were managing fall events this month, our small but mighty team has been crafting a new website and finalizing the fantastic line-up for the 2014 Run Walk Ride Fundraising Conference.

You'll find it easier to tap into the resources you need at the new www.runwalkride.com, your online hub for insights into the ever-changing world of peer-to-peer fundraising.

Check out the conference section to see how we've listened to your feedback to create a program that will provide you with even more of the information and connections you need to succeed. Registration is now open for the conference and four exciting pre-conference workshops.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you'll join us in Atlanta on February 25 & 26.

David Hessekiel

President

P.S. We're 'building the plane as we fly' so if you find broken links on the new website, have questions about the conference or want to share ideas, please send us an email. Our goal is to support the important work that YOU do - both online and in person.

TipTIP: ALWAYS CONNECT TO MISSION

Fundraising events vary in both subtle and dramatic ways and on the surface, one running event in downtown Chicago can offer a very similar experience to another running event in downtown Chicago (or Tucson, or Ft. Lauderdale). Experiences matter and one of the best ways to differentiate your organization's event is to immerse people in your mission. This helps deepen engagement with your cause, leads to more loyal fundraisers and improves fundraising results.

Wondering if you're communicating your mission effectively? Consider these questions:

  • Are you doing everything possible to communicate the importance of your mission and the impact made by the dollars that your participants will raise?
  • If someone showed up at your event knowing nothing about your organization, would they walk away with a clear understanding of what you do and why? Would they be inspired to get more involved?
  • Are you providing opportunities for your constituents to honor their own, very personal connections to your mission?

If these questions have piqued your interest, read more from Event 360's Suzanne Mooney on Connecting to Mission here.
