"This is too competitive a field, people will never share info."
That was the bummer of a response I received from the first nonprofit event fundraiser I spoke to nine years ago about the concept of the Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council. Fortunately, others were more open to the idea. Since then, thousands of P2P pros have embraced our culture of sharing.
Finally, in the spirit of learning from one another, we recently launched a new initiative, P2P Spotlight, to publicly recognize the dedication of people doing great work in our industry. - The inaugural Obliteride raised $1.45 million through the efforts of 100 teams, 650 volunteers and 179 virtual riders. The funds will benefit the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. (Click here to read reflections on the event)
