From the WEEKLY WORLD NEWS
TWO-HEADED LESBIAN
CAN'T MARRY HERSELF
KANPUR, India
A two-headed girl who shocked relatives when she announced plans to marry herself has been forbidden by a judicial panel from going through with the ceremony.
Maya and Mina Benjawhari are technically a pair of Siamese twins who share one body but have separate heads and can think independently. The 18-year-old look-alikes have told reporters they "love only each other" and have no interest in men.
While agreeing with the girl's argument that they are two distinct individuals - rather than one person as their family believes- - and conceding that the law does not outlaw lesbian marriages, the court ruled that the proposed union would be incestuous.
Legal scholars say it was the first such case in India.

Brides & Brides and Grooms & Grooms

Gay marriage is finally legal in every state!
Hearty congratulations to everyone who supports equality,
liberty, and justice for all. And love.
And heartfelt best wishes for all those brides & brides and
grooms & grooms who can now officially tie the knot.
How fitting that this historic decision should come in June.
June is the Honey Moonth, traditionally the month for
weddings and it is also Gay Pride Month. Love is in the air
all around! This season has always been celebrated as a
juicy time of making whoopy, and also for making plans
and commitments for lasting love partnerships.
If you are among those couples who plan to marry, do
contact me to discuss your upcoming nuptials. I am a
registered clergy, licensed to perform legal weddings.
And as a seasoned ceremonialist, I can help you design
the rituals that will make your wedding an extraordinary
spiritual experience.
Here are some of the wonderful same sex couples I have married over the years.

I am as red, as beautiful as the rainbow.
Your heart has just been taken by me.
Your blood has been taken by me.
Your flesh has been taken by me.
Your eyes have been taken by me.
Your saliva has been taken by me.
Your saliva and mine are one forever.
You are a wizard.
- Cherokee Chant To Fix the Affections
Early morning dawning green.
Ah. . . is the willow so green?
In the green fields,
You gave me your love.
- Quecha Song
You are the heaven and You are the earth,
You are the day and You are the night,
You are all pervading air,
You are the sacred offering of rice
and flowers and of water;
You are Yourself all in all,
What can I offer You?

- D.Barbara, CA
Your article on Queening was so wonderful! And the Pearl and Russel Means interview especially.
- Terese, NY
Brava for highlighting the important role of older women in Native culture. May we take their example and step up and speak up in defense of peace, justice, and wellbeing for all.
- Cloud, ND
Awesome newsletter! Thank you for all the wonderful information you share!

- Susan, UT
As always, I love receiving your Ezine. Your writing in style and content is wonderful.
- Dominique, NM

Prayer requests:
Please pray for me. I heard my company is gonna fire me. I am gonna file for comp. I think that pays 3/4 of pay? This is terrible. I'm very worried. I found out if they fire me for absence (due to my medical treatments) I will not get unemployment and I lose my medical coverage. I'm completely devestated and panicking. I am in debt and have no money saved. My treatment was horrible, four tubes in my stomach and the side effects were unbelievable. I still have vertigo from last week. I have to do these for six months. God help me! Thank you so much.
- Jo Anne, NY
Please send your requests for physical and spiritual healing and positive energy so that the powerful women of The Queen's Court might send their prayers and blessings to you in your time of need.

NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA
Hello from Lennox Head, New South Wales, Australia.
Thank you for including information about Australia's Sorry Day in your email. It is indeed an important day for all Australians regardless of cultural and racial heritage. I am from European heritage and am learning to listen and acknowledge the many things that Australian Aboriginal and Torrs Strait Islander people tell us about their lives, heritage and the toll that colonialism and post-colonial law and society has had on them over nearly 230 years since first white settlement on this continent.
Over two decades ago our Reconciliation Movement was started as a way of Australians learning about and putting into practice respect and equity for Aboriginal and Islander Australians. The emphasis is on Indigenous and other Australians working together for a fairer society and to promote the healing of wounds from past harmful attitudes and practices.
As an active lesbian feminist I always try to be mindful of Australian Indigenous peoples in my everyday life and in my social justice activism and education work professionally, in the community and indeed on a personal level. My commitment to women and to sister lesbians is sharpened and strengthened through knowing and working with marvelous Indigenous women.
Nowadays when meeting or gathering publicly it is often the practice to ask an Aboriginal elder from the part of the country where we are located to open the gathering by giving a Welcome to Country introduction. If no Aboriginal elder is available or it is a small gathering we will start by acknowledging the traditional custodians as the Aboriginal first people of that part of the country.
Despite recognition through our High Court (1992) and subsequent native title legislation it is a great shame for many white Australians that still today our governments have not apologized or given compensation for stealing land from Indigenous peoples. Other injustices and inequities persist that call for greater awareness and action, so I thank you again for making Sorry Day information available to a wider audience.
- Lavender,Living on Bundjalung Country.
Acknowledgement
We would like to acknowledge the Bundjalung people who are the traditional custodians of this land. We would also like to pay respect to the elders past and present and children of the Bundjalung nation and extend that respect to other Aboriginal people visiting this site.
Flags
The Aboriginal flag, created in the early 1970s and adopted by Australian governments in the 1990s is flown at official events alongside the traditional Australian flag. The red represents the earth, the black the people's skins and the gold the sun.The Torres Strait Islander flag is also officially sanctioned. The traditional headress centre-piece is backgrounded by four colours:
Green - represents the land
Black - represents the Indigenous peoples
Blue - represents the sea
White - represents peace.
