Yemin Orde Graduate Elected to Serve in Israel's New Parliament

We are proud to announce that a
graduate of Yemin Orde Youth Village was recently elected to serve in Israel's new Parliament.
Shimon Solomon, 44, immigrated to Israel from Ethiopia in 1980 with his parents and five brothers and sisters. He represents the Yesh Atid party. Prior to his election, Solomon was Director of Education at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda.

New Challenge Grant to Benefit Yemin Orde Educational Initiatives

Friends of Yemin Orde (FYO) is pleased to announce it has received a new one-year $72,000 challenge grant from an anonymous donor to help support the growth of Yemin Orde Educational Initiatives. Under the terms of the grant, new and increased gifts to Friends of Yemin Orde will be matched up to $18,000 per donor.

Purim is one of the most exciting and fun-filled holidays at Yemin Orde Youth Village. This year, the high school seniors organized the Village's Purim festivities, which included a costume contest, dancing and preparation of Purim gifts.

An Evening of Song and Celebration With Friends

The Chief Rabbi of London, Lord Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, participated in a special evening of music, dancing and celebration at Yemin Orde. The Chief Rabbi was in Israel recently with the Shabbaton Choir of London. The Rabbi and choir, along with special guests from England-based Youth Aliyah Child Rescue and others, also attended the opening of the Yemin Orde Mechina's new facilities in Hatzor.
