Dear parents,
I am reaching out to you in light of the tragedy that occurred on Friday in Newtown, Connecticut. Our deepest condolences and thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones. Q: My nine year old son has severe disabilities and is fully dependent on us for his care. He is unable to speak, so he can't tell us how he feels or what he wants. He hasn't developed the skills his big sister had as a toddler, things she learned on her own without being taught. We want to help our son learn everything he can. Can he really benefit from the school curriculum or are we just going through the motions?
