We are excited to welcome you to Mystic Seaport for the 25th Annual WoodenBoat Show this weekend! The tents are going up, and exhibitors start moving in Wednesday night and Thursday. Summer begins at the WoodenBoat Show!
Life on the Water will be showing films in the Olin Stephens Room in the Stillman Building on the third floor (see #6 on the map). The east coast premiere of Jon Wilson -- The Restorer's Journey will be on Saturday at 4:00 pm. A question and answer session with Jon Wilson and the director will take place after the film.
Interlux Yacht Finishes is proud to sponsor the I Built It Myself exhibit at the show. Please be sure to visit the great collection of reader-built boats on the Village Green. Interlux will award the Best In Show award on Saturday afternoon.
Be sure to check out the Family BoatBuilding tent on Chubb's Wharf (see # 15 on the map) where six families will be building B&B Designs' Moccasin canoe. Thanks to B&B Yacht Designs for providing expert instruction to the families participating in the event!
Chesapeake Light Craft will be displaying their teardrop camper and the Southwester dory kits this year in addition to many of their other designs. Be sure to visit them at their usual spot near the Thomas Oyster House (see #48 on the map). Also we would like to congratulate John Harris and the rest of the CLC crew on being the 2016 WoodenBoat Show tribute dinner honorees. We recognize their efforts of providing affordable kits that let families of any income build their own boat. They also teach boatbuilding classes from coast to coast. We will be honoring CLC at a tribute dinner on Saturday evening.
The WoodenBoat subscription kiosk on the Village Green will be selling subscriptions to WoodenBoat and single copies of WoodenBoat and Small Boats 2016. Thanks to Torqeedo, everyone who subscribes to WoodenBoat at the Show will be entered into a drawing to win a Torqeedo Travel 1003 outboard. Visit the Torqeedo booth (140 Land A) to learn more about their products and ask about a demo!
