The 2016 Skills Demonstrations and Speaker Series schedule is now available on our website. Some of our popular demonstrations include making spars, steam-bending wood, and blacksmithing just to name a few. On Saturday at 10:00 am in the Olin Stephens Room (in the Stillman building on the third floor), Kaleo Wong, one of HOKULEA's navigators will be speaking about traditional Pacific canoe navigation.

Anyone with a Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) boat is invited and encouraged to bring it with them to the WoodenBoat Show and display it (for free) on the North End lawn. Boat owners can move their CLC boat onto the lawn Thursday (June 24) in the afternoon, and display it Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Owners can remove their CLC boats from the lawn either after the show on Sunday, or after the Small Boats Monthly sponsored CLC Boat Parade on Sunday at noon. We are also excited to honor Chesapeake Light Craft at our Tribute Dinner on Saturday evening. Purchase your tickets by June 13!
Grain Surfboards is excited to return to The WoodenBoat Show this year. They will be featuring some of their favorite wooden surfboards, including one they built this past winter to celebrate their 10 year anniversary, the Decennial Board. They will also be working on a board at the Show, so you can watch them in action!
