NBC News Airs BlueVoice Work in Peru and Japan

NBC News has broken the story of the atrocious slaughter of dolphins in Peru. While we work on the long form film about the hunting of dolphins for shark bait we are also in contact with news media about the story. NBCnews.com has aired the shocking video embedded in a comprehensive article that covers both Peru and Taiji. We provided all the video.

In addition, the local news outlets for NBC are airing the story in the major U.S. television markets. This gives us wide exposure, which is key to ending the practice of hunting dolphins.
While we work to make the world aware of the horrific slaughter of dolphins and sharks, we are taking action in Peru.

BlueVoice enlists aid of Peruvian Restaurants To Save Dolphins and Sharks
We are ready to launch a campaign to enlist restaurateurs to stop serving shark and dolphin meat and to provide information to their patrons about the grisly reality of what happens offshore. Peru is one of the world's leading culinary destinations and tourism is a primary source of foreign exchange. We believe tourists will consider Peru's policies towards dolphins when they decide their travel plans and see this as a point of leverage on the government of Peru pressuring them to enact laws that will save the lives of thousands of dolphins and sharks.

Surfers Uniting To End the Dolphin Killing
Peru is also one of the world's leading surfing nations - both in providing exceptional waves and highly competent surfers. We are initiating a joint effort with Surfers for Cetaceans to generate statements from world renowned surfers (both Peruvian and international) encouraging the government of Peru to enact laws to end the slaughter of dolphins for shark bait.

Hardy.jpgMy thanks to all of you who have supported our work.  Together we will save many, many dolphin and shark lives.
Your commitment is helping us win this very crucial battle. I ask for your continued support.

For the dolphins and sharks of Peru,

A Glimmer of Hope

There are some new indications that the Peruvian government is willing to include our partner Mundo Azul in discussions of dolphin and shark policy. Our efforts are all designed to motivate the government to act to end dolphin killing.

You donation now will support our continuing efforts in Peru.  Please help us to ensure that in the very near future, the dolphins in Peru can lead free, safe lives in the ocean with their families.
