Greetings!

January is School Board Recognition Month, and Mansfield ISD showed its appreciation to the seven members who volunteer their time and energy to serve on the MISD Board of Trustees. Also, registration is now open for spring 2016 adult education classes. Plus, 27 talented students were recently named as All-State musicians. January is School Board Recognition Month
For School Board Recognition Month, Mansfield ISD is joining other districts across the state to thank these locally elected advocates of public education.

MISD appreciates all the dedication these men and women show every day for the district. They are the real-life superheroes who lay out the foundation for the future.

New Adult Education Classes Available for Spring 2016
The MISD Adult Education Program has added 17 new courses to its spring 2016 catalog, and registration is open to residents from all areas.
 
The classes include a variety of topics such as: cooking, yoga, mechanics, hunting, computer skills, and conversational Spanish.

Several MISD Students Selected as All-State Musicians
Mansfield ISD is proud to announce the 25 band students and two choir students who were recently named as All-State musicians.

All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. The students will perform at the 2016 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention on Saturday, Feb. 13 in San Antonio.

More than 50 Mansfield ISD high school teams and individuals were recognized by notable organizations for their athletic and/or academic capabilities in fall sports.

High School Musical Productions 2016
The Mansfield ISD Fine Arts Department announced the spring 2016 high school musical schedules.

The musicals are: Footloose, The Addams Family, Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Tarzan.
