Registration for Summer Session 2015 Now Open
Mansfield ISD will offer summer school classes, testing, and programs for grades pre-k through high school.

Registration runs through Thursday, May 14, and late registration will only be offered to grades 5-12.

Sign Up for New Summer Adult Education Courses
The Mansfield ISD Adult Education Program promotes lifelong learning by providing access to classes that will enrich your life.

In the summer, five courses will be held that cover topics like grilling, baking, and using an iPad. Registration is now open, and everyone is encouraged to participate!

School Board Names Acting Superintendent

The Mansfield ISD School Board named Dr. Mark Jackson to serve as acting superintendent while Superintendent Dr. Jim Vaszauskas is on medical leave.

Dr. Jackson (pictured) has approximately 30 years of extensive experience in educational leadership roles.

Farewell Reception for Nine-Year Board Trustee

To honor the nine years of dedication Terry Moore has given to Mansfield ISD by serving as a School Board trustee, the community is invited to his farewell reception.

Moore has served on the Board since 2006 and decided not to run for re-election.

His reception will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts, 1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX 76063.

Congratulations to Ana Muñoz from D.P. Morris Elementary School (Elementary Teacher of the Year) and Chrissy Boydstun from Mansfield High School (Secondary Teacher of the Year).

Put It Down, Save a Life
Distracted driving and drunk driving are among the leading causes of deaths for teenagers in the U.S. Because of this, the entire Mansfield ISD community recently came together to spread one message--put it down, save a life.

The two-day event challenged juniors and seniors to think about the consequences of driving while distracted or impaired.

All Aboard for Senior Tour 2015!
Attention MISD friends and family members ages 55 and older: you're invited to the fourth annual Mansfield ISD Senior Tour to learn about some of the fantastic programs and initiatives taking place in your neighborhood schools.
