Saddle Up for Pre-K & Kindergarten Roundup 2015!
Do you have a child entering pre-K or kindergarten? Get ready for early registration for the 2015-16 school year at your child's home campus during Kindergarten Roundup on Thursday, April 16.

Incoming kindergarten families will be able to tour the campus, participate in scheduled activities, and gather valuable information to prepare for the start of the year.

Secondary Master Schedule Study:
Meetings & Survey

 
Mansfield ISD is conducting a study of secondary master schedule models through parent meetings and a district survey.

Parent meetings will be held at high school and middle school campuses.

MISD Named 2015 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year
For the second year in a row, MISD has been named 2015 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year. The District will be recognized at an award's ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 20.

The award is given by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to organizations who implement outstanding efforts to improve the energy efficiency of U.S. buildings and facilities.

Two High School Musicals Nominated for Awards

Out of 65 high school musicals from all over the state of Texas, two MISD productions were nominated for several awards by the Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) organization.  

 

Congratulations to Lake Ridge High School and Mansfield High School for being recognized for outstanding achievement in musical theatre.

Spring 2015 Grants Giveaway

The MISD Education Foundation completed its 33rd round of grants on March 19 by surprising unsuspecting teachers and staff with grant checks totaling about $50,000.

  • The kids at Charlotte Anderson Elementary School are taking a stand against bullying through song. Students participated in a professional recording of "The Power of One," which is focused on anti-bullying. Take a listen »
     
  • Testing season is in full gear, and fourth graders at Annette Perry Elementary School prepared for it by going to prom. Take a look inside DIVAS PROM »
     
  • MISD students from second through eighth grade participated in the UIL A+ Academic competition. Elizabeth Smith Elementary School, Mary Orr Intermediate School, and Danny Jones Middle School won first place in their grade divisions.
     
  • Students at our Alternative Education Center placed in top spots at the Region 11 first annual Citizens Bee. Damien Trujillo won second place, and Alyssa Reaves won third.
     
  • Remember Jeremy Phan, the James Coble Middle School seventh grader who was named District Spelling Bee champ? He finished fourth at the regional competition!
