High School Track Closures

The Athletics Department announces the high school tracks and football fields will be closed to the public during the turf renovation projects.  

  • LHS closed
  • SHS closed
  • MHS closes 4/9/14
  • LRHS and THS closes 4/11/14

All of these tracks and football fields will be closed until September.

 

All Middle School tracks will be open to the public. (Please note: T.A. Howard Middle School track and football field closed for scheduled renovations.)

Timeline Approved for Attendance Zone Implementation
Intermediate Schools / Middle Schools / High Schools

Attendance Zone Review On Monday, April 7, 2014, the Mansfield ISD School Board approved the recommended implementation process for the newly approved attendance zones (Map A) for intermediate, middle and high schools.

The approved timeline includes the following:

  • Immediate implementation for incoming intermediate school and incoming middle school students to address overcrowding.
  • Provides current intermediate and middle school students an opportunity to finish at current campus.
  • One year implementation delay for high school provides high school choice for current (13-14) 8th grade students and parents.
  • Moves the fewest number of students the fewest amount of times.

Calendar Options Survey 2015-16 Calendar Survey

The Mansfield ISD Districtwide Educational Improvement Committee recently selected two options as finalists for the 2015-16 MISD school year calendar. Mansfield ISD is seeking input through a survey to assist in determining which option will be best for our staff, students and the school community. The survey closes Monday, April 14, 2014.
Kindergarten Roundup
Don't miss this opportunity to get a jump start on next year!

Complete your child's pre-k and/or kindergarten enrollment and registration process for the 2014-15 school year during Kindergarten Roundup on Tuesday, April 15. Incoming kindergarten families will get valuable information on immunizations, nutrition, as well as tips and tools to prepare students before kindergarten starts.   


This year, the Roundup will be held at your home elementary campus and has been divided into two time blocks:
  • 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Parental Involvement Policy

We are conducting an annual review of our parent involvement policy. Please review our Parental Involvement Policy and submit your feedback online by Monday, April 21.  All revisions will be made for 2014-15 school year.

Campus Connection


Two students, Thu Hoang from Danny Jones Middle School and Emmy Lass from Linda Jobe Middle School, were named among the 2013-14 Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation Scholarship winners. They will receive a $2,500 college scholarship upon completion of high school and enrollment in college. These 8th grade students as well as the remaining finalists will be honored at the foundation's Scholarship Celebration on April 27.

Cabaniss Elementary surpasses donation expectations to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

One Act Play - Timberview HS advanced to 5A Area competition.  Mansfield HS is alternate.  Zach Montou from Mansfield HS received the best actor award. Flordeluna Flores from Timberview HS won Best Actress. 5A Area competition is at Waxahachie HS on April 12.   Legacy HS is alternate to 4A Area competition.

Legacy High School student journalists won a Gold Crown for the online newspaper and a Silver Crown for last year's yearbook from Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

Rising Stars Discovery Camp is a fun, exciting introduction to just a few of the unique courses offered at Ben Barber Career and Technology Academy. Registration opens March 17.
