Greetings from your President

Wow, what a night! I've heard nothing but positive comments about our Hometown Hero Gala on June 5th.

The remarks delivered by our honoree, Kerry Coombs, had us hanging on his every word. Teddy Kremer gave a moving, heartfelt introduction for Coach Coombs, and Seg Dennison was the essence of an outstanding emcee. We were honored to host several members of Kerry's family - including his wife Holly, a former NWLSD school principal - as well as friends from across our community.

Thanks to all the speakers, attendees, patrons, donors, and sponsors who made this Hometown Hero Gala a night to remember. Be sure to check out the photos below and on our website. I can't wait until next year!

But first, I want to highlight an opportunity available through July 31. Look for info in this e-news about the Northern Cincinnati Safety Council (NCSC), being brought to you through a collaboration of northern Cincinnati Chambers - including our Colerain Chamber - and the Bureau of Workers' Comp (BWC).

You're invited to a FREE Open House on Tuesday, June 30, when you can learn about the many benefits of joining the NCSC. As a Colerain Chamber member, you can save 25% off enrollment cost, and earn BWC premium rebates and awards, while networking with companies from the region.

Please complete the survey on the left about upcoming Chamber events, and be sure to welcome our new members!

The Chamber presented its first Hometown Hero Award to Kerry Coombs, assistant coach for The Ohio State Buckeyes football team and former CHS head coach. Other special guests included Teddy Kremer, honorary bat boy for the Cincinnati Reds, and Seg Dennison, WLW 700 sports announcer.

Attendees enjoyed a VIP reception, dinner, silent auction, and awesome speaker presentations.  Rob Lucas (Colerain Chamber member & owner of NAPA Auto Parts) made the winning bid for the live auction prize: a Buckeyes Championship football signed by Coaches Urban Meyer and Kerry Coombs, as well as two sideline tickets for an Ohio State football game!
