Email Marketing Tips

Email marketing is a great way to promote your business. A study from the Direct Marketing Association shows that email marketing achieves an astonishing 4300 percent return on investment (ROI) when done correctly, higher than all other digital channels. This is not surprising when you consider that 91 percent of consumers check their email daily.

There are a lot of misconceptions out there about what email marketing with a tool like Constant Contact is all about. This is not about spamming random people that you got off of a mailing list. In fact, spamming is illegal, due to the Can-Spam Act.

True email marketing is opt-in marketing. In other words, you are sending relevant email to people who WANT to hear from you.

To be fully compliant with Can-Spam, you need to have a way for people to remove themselves from your mailing list when they no longer want to hear from you. Luckily, with tools like Constant Contact, this functionality is built into the software.

Greetings from your President

I am so ready for Spring! Based on my conversations with Chamber members, we're all looking forward to warmer days after the recent snow and ice.

It was great to see so many of you at our March 4th Insider Info Update, despite the nasty weather. Thanks to Frank Birkenhauer, Dr. Andrew Jackson, and Dan Meloy for sharing lots of interesting "Insider Info." Check out photos from that program in this e-news edition.

RSVP now for our Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, April 7, at noon. You don't want to miss this Worker's Comp Workshop at Clippard Instrument Laboratory (7390 Colerain Ave.). A representative from the state's Bureau of Worker's Compensation will talk about Ohio's new prospective billing system and the savings you can get in 2015, as well as provide insider tips about Worker's Comp. Of course, you will also enjoy networking and a great lunch! See more info below.

Please call me (513-923-5036) if you'd like to serve on one of our committees, host a Chamber event at your location, sponsor an event, or if you have suggestions for future programs. And tell your non-member friends to contact me about joining our Colerain Chamber; we all succeed when we support each other!

Think Spring,

Deb
