WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back to students and families of Chester Elementary School. It is with sincere gratitude that I thank all of you for the warm welcome I received this summer. CES extends a heartfelt welcome to our kindergarten students who represent the class of 2028!

It was a summer of rebuilding at CES, and I would like to formally thank Waterhouse Construction, Paul Davis Restoration, Ed Meehan, James Grzybowski, Mark Worthley, Jeremy Worthley, and all of the teachers. Everyone worked together to address the water issues and get the classrooms ready for the first day of school. The rooms look wonderful, and everyone is settled in on the first floor and ready for a great year!

It was exciting seeing and meeting all of you who stopped in on August 24th to say hello after your classroom visit. I am excited to begin the school year and watch the magic of learning unfold.

On behalf of the CES Staff, I would like to thank the PTO and all of the parents who made the Back-to-School Teacher Luncheon on August 24th possible. With all of the busyness at the beginning of the school year, it is such a treat to have such a fabulous feast!

PTO MEETING

The September PTO meeting will be held on September 8, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Library/Media Center. I want to encourage all families, new and returning, to get involved in the PTO activities. It is a wonderful organization and so many wonderful things happen for our students because of their efforts. There are a number of ways to get involved, so please join us!

CURRICULUM NIGHT

On September 21, 2015, you are invited to attend our Curriculum Night to learn about the instructional program at each grade level and see your child's classroom. Grades K, 1 , 2 and 3 will meet from 6:00 - 6:30 PM and Grades 4, 5 and 6 will meet from 6:45 - 7:15 PM.
