Turkey time is here and we can't deny this is a time to give thanks, eat lots, and share with our neighbors. We currently know of two Thanksgiving feasts going on in our community that are free to the public.

The Escanaba High school Thanksgiving sponsored by Community Action happening on Nov. 22th at 12PM. Volunteers and food donations are welcomed. Please contact Proserv Inc. at (906) 786 2192. To RSVP for the meal, for a ride, or to have a meal delivered contact Community Action at (906) 786 7080.

Also, Nov. 22nd Thanksgiving Dinner at the Delta Drop Inn will be held from 5-7. The dinner is for people in recovery from addiction and their family members. The Delta Drop Inn is located at 1500 North 19th Street.

We ask our Chamber Members to include any Thanksgiving feasts happening in our community to our Calendar to keep the community informed. We hope that in two weeks, we have a complete list that we can share, so no one has a turkey less day.

There is no way to stop it; the holidays are just around the corner and inevitably shopping season is too. Here in Delta County, we have a variety of shops that can satisfy the want and need of each one of your family members. Shopping local is a way to enhance the economy of your community, and keep your dollars here in Delta County. Throughout this holiday season, we will keep you posted on Shopping events, discounts, and more.

First Craft Show of the Season will happen Saturday, November 10th at the Escanaba High school from 9 AM-5 PM.

Also, Leigh's Garden Winery Second Saturday Art and Wine will have an opportunity to view some of Rose Peltier's quilts and fiber work for the art lover in your Christmas list. Nov. 10th, from 11 AM-6PM.
