November is just a few days away, and it is welcomed with Wine here in Delta County by the Escanaba Rotary Club. The Club is having their 10th Annual Vino at the Casino fundraiser at none other than The Island Resort and Casino. The Event will be held November 3rd from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. Tickets are only being sold in advance so head to the YMCA, or Gust Asp Party Store to buy your tickets. Tickets are also sold by Rotary Club Members.

Another wine opportunity in November is the Leigh's Garden Winery Inc. Second Saturday Art and Wine November 10th from 11 AM to 6 PM. The featured artist is Rose Peltier who features beautiful quilts and fiber work.

For those who want to start their Christmas shopping early, the Bonifas Fine Arts Center will be hosting their Holiday Arts Fair and Bake Sale November 3rd from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The Chamber is also getting your favorite Shopping Excursion ready for November 17th and Dec. 8th. Get that shopping out of the way and support our local businesses.

Another successful year for the Walleye Restoration Project. Both young and experienced fishermen, along with businesses, organizations and community members helped 5700 6-9 inch walleye find a new home in Little Bay de Noc. See you next year!


Delta Fence & Construction Featured in World Fence News


Congratulations to Delta Fence & Construction for being featured in the November issue of Fence World, the most renowned trade magazine in the fencing industry. The article features their state of the art outdoor showroom which now includes QR codes that allow customers to view information on their smart phone. QR codes are square two-dimensional barcodes that can be read by an app downloaded to a smart phone. The QR codes also provide a brief audio presentation about the product.

Off the Beaten Path Shopping Excursion

Food, fun and get your holiday shopping done! Jump aboard the 9th Annual Delta County Chamber Christmas Shopping Excursion and tour some of Delta County's finest shops. From the unique downtown districts of Escanaba & Gladstone to the pleasant experiences that await you "Off the Beaten Path", the Delta County Chamber of Commerce is proud to share Delta County's treasures with you this holiday season.

There are many unique shops located around Delta County that will most likely offer that special gift for that hard to buy for special someone you may not find anywhere.

Many of the businesses on the tour will offer special sale incentives to the tour guests. Relax as the bus drives from shop to shop along the scenic route. Guests can enjoy the ride and save all their energy for shopping! No hassle parking and hot spot shopping, it doesn't get any better.

Christmas is a time of giving. This tour gives local shoppers a great opportunity to give the local businesses, who support the community all year round, their business. The destinations on the tour offer everything from Irish gifts, to watches, sterling silver, lavender products, candles, lotions, holiday swags, unique lighting, ornaments, and sporting knives.

This year's Delta Chamber Shopping Excursion will be touring on November 17th and December 8th 2012. This full day of holiday shopping fun is just $25 per person and that includes a gourmet lunch at the Kipling House!
