New Year, New Home, New Attitude!
Every new event brings the opportunity for change and there are no events better for change than the beginning of a New Year or moving into a new home.
New Year's resolutions are often made and discarded but one that we should all embrace is a change in attitude. The downturn in the economy lasted quite a while and affected many, but if 2014 was any indication, brighter days are ahead! We need to make sure that we consciously adjust our outlooks, too.
In the same vein, moving into a new home offers homeowners a chance at new beginnings. Perhaps a new community, new neighbors, a new view and an exciting future. I always feel that one of the joys of a new home is putting my personal stamp on it. Shopping for new furniture, selecting just the right accent for a particular area, getting used to the floor plan, cooking in the new kitchen with new gadgets are all fun "adventures" that put a smile on my face. And, I've noticed that my homeowners are always happily excited when they talk to me about their plans.
So, let's decide to keep a positive attitude high on our priority list and keep smiling!
Happy New Year!

Anatomy of a Million Dollar Home...
Topping It All!
The Florida sun can be merciless on one's skin... and roofs. To protect your skin, use sunscreen. If you want a beautiful, long lasting roof, consider cement tile.
Cement tiles will out last three asphalt roofs. In addition, cement tile roofs have the highest energy efficiency rating. With new installation procedures instituted since Hurricane Charley and new stronger adhesives, they can withstand winds up to 170 mph. And, the tiles are recyclable...making them a green choice.
Dr. Goodroof, Inc. APE Roof Tile Co., a sixty year old tile manufacturing company in south Punta Gorda, uses cement, sand, oxides for color, and a proprietary formula, to offer twelve standard and over 300 custom colors in three tile styles. The Highlander is a large barrel tile. Ceetile, a small barrel double Roman tile, is the strongest in the industry. Ian Mclellan, owner of Dr. Goodroof, is rightly proud of that. Finally, they also have a flat tile can be manufactured to look like slate or cedar singles.
In addition, you have a choice of having the color impregnated through out the tile or applied as a slurry on top. Should you wish to match your new roof to your driveway color, that can be done too.
TowlesCorp appreciates how Dr. Goodroof works with them on their projects. The company prioritizes delivery to sites that are ready for "dry-in" - getting the roof on to prevent the wood from getting wet. There is no minimum on tile orders which makes small repairs easier and more economical. And who can argue with offering our clients the strongest cement tiles in the nation?
Though maybe not the first thing one notices when approaching a home, the roof is important to your home's overall exterior esthetics. Depending on the style and color of the tile, they can enhance the period and style of your home. Cement tiles offer a wide range of styles to fit your look. Dr. Goodroof will work with you and TowlesCorp to choose the best.
