Anatomy of a Million Dollar Home
Lighting
What really can set a home or business apart from others is how the exterior and interior are illuminated. So often we think of lighting as just an item that is inherent in every building. But, actually proper lighting can accent an area, provide task lighting, improve colors and add ambiance to any space. It truly is an art to perfectly illuminate a home or business. The lighting "artist" that works with our clients is Jacki Johnson of JCM Lighting & Design. A 2001 graduate of Charlotte High School, Jacki had worked in many facets of the industry before starting her own business. One of the first projects locally was the Laishley Crab House. Since then she's been busy with commercial and residential projects all over the US and we feel very fortunate to have her work with our homeowners as well as our commercial clients. lighting at it's finest. Located at 25139 Marion Ave in Punta Gorda, TowlesCorp completely remodeled this older building to create an old world ambiance in which to experience fine cigar culture. Jacki and her team at JCM Lighting & Design worked their magic by back lighting the custom cigar storage shelves with color changing LED lights. The walk-in humidor also has specialty lighting while the Lounge is lit with hand made tortoise shell glass ceiling fixtures all offered by Fusion Energy Solutions. Each room has lighting selections chosen for the area's specific purpose. The large scale pendants in the bar coordinate with the ceiling fixtures in other locations.
Kudos also go to Lori Irons of Home Showcase Interiorsfor her beautiful choices for the interior decor. Many of the lighting ideas used in this remodel could also be used in a home with careful attention to scale and ambiance desired.
