I recently was invited to the grand opening of the new UMI (United Materials, Inc) stone showroom and warehouse in Naples. It was quite an event...from the valet parking to the fabulous appetizers and drinks...it was totally first class! But nothing could compare to the sheer volume of granite/stone slab inventory that they house on site.
Most granite dealers/distributors store their slabs in outdoor yards or under long open air portico's. If you've ever been searching for stone countertops in the summer, it can get quite hot in these yards. Not at UMI. The 35,000 sq ft showroom and warehouse are both under air.The storage area houses over 7000 slabs and if the amount of choices doesn't overwhelm you, then I guarantee that the natural beauty of the imported stone will impress you.

I was really impressed with their new location and the variety and quality of the products they carry. UMI is not a fabricator. They are strictly a distributor. We can make an appointment for you to visit their showroom. You'll select your countertop (or tile) and they'll deliver it to your local fabricator to cut, polish and install in your home.
As you can imagine, these designer stones are much higher in price than the average granite & quartz that we see locally. But, if you are looking for granite, marble, stone or tile that is unique and outstanding for the kitchen, bath or bar areas in your home, then it is well worth the trip to UMI in Naples.
