Anatomy of a Million Dollar Home
The Gutters
Contrasting Gutter Color Used to Accent the Homes Design
Sometimes an element of a home is not outstanding in a prospective home buyer's priority list, but can make a big difference in the look of the home and in its performance.
Gutters fall into that category. Having the right size, installed properly, can add, not only to the function but also to the beauty of the exterior. Since the majority of our homes have tile roofs, we prefer to use a large 6" gutter, rather than a standard 5" gutter. Per our request, our subcontractor uses the highest quality aluminum gutter which is extruded to size on site and is custom designed and fitted to the contours of each building. With this system, these craftsmen can produce seamless lengths, create 45 degree corners (rather than standard 90 degree angles), conform to the exterior shape of the home (even semi-circular or arched designs) and all in any one of 15 colors!
Curved Gutter Matches House Color
The entire design of the gutter system, which is installed on all four sides of the house & pool cage and has large 3" x 4" downspouts, is engineered to remove water from the roof/house as quickly as possible to eliminate standing water near the base of the home. Along with the keeping the foundation dry, pest control companies recommend keeping water away from the foundation to eliminate attracting insects.
Dark Gutter Color Coordinates with Roof & Soffit while Downspout Blends with House Color
The large variety of colors that are available help to coordinate with the house or roof colors and keep the system unobtrusive while still working hard to protect your home.

And now a word from our homeowners...
Living Room with Second Story "Bridge"
"This is the second Towles
View of Entertainment Center from Second Story Bridge
home we've built and it is fantastic! The second floor "bridge" offers a wonderful view of the main floor living area and the built-in entertainment center that almost reaches the ceiling. Even with these high ceilings and open spaces, this house costs less to run than our Georgia home of the same size because of the way this home is built. In the 10 years that we've owned it, we've never had to have any repairs. If anyone asked us who we would recommend to build their home, there's only one answer...Keith Towles!"
