Ms. Bengtson is a recipient of a CHS Scholarship that allowed her to attend the 2015 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference.    

 

"Agriculture is a wonderful format for my students to explore the world.  They are able to connect things that they love like food and animals in order to learn science, math, english, and so much more!  I am able to use MAITC materials to give them resources for their projects!"

Author Peggy Thomas was the keynote speaker at the 2015 NAITC Conference.  Her fantastic children's books focus on the strong agricultural connections in the lives of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. These books are a must-have for your classroom, library and home.

Congratulations to Sam Northey for being the first person to respond with the correct answer to our May trivia question.  Sam could tell from the photo that the Glessing family brought two holstein calves to St. Michael's Farm Expo.  Rounding out the top five responders were McKenzie Gregory, Katrina Bender, Maureen Hauck, and Sara Britton.
