Let Us HEALTH You Quick Tips

All You Have To Do Is Smell The Roses

Are you stressed?

Do you have chronic indigestion or nausea?  Do you suffer from a stiff neck or shoulders, have tension headaches, twitching or teeth grinding?  Perhaps you have sweaty palms, eczema or profuse sweating.  How about allergies, asthma, fatigue, insomnia, depression or anxiety?  Perhaps you experience absent mindedness, loss of concentration, withdrawal, irritability or changes in social activities.

These are all signs of stress which come from all sources.  Some we have control over and some we simply don't.  However, it's how we react to those stressors that determine the impact it has on or in our bodies.

Now, everyone feels emotions like sadness, fear, anger, or even depression.  Along with that, we all face everyday problems that can bring up negative emotions such as conflicts in relationships, unexpected bills, struggles with health and other challenges.

I've spoken often about the power of positivity, however, it is is normal for even healthy and positive people to experience emotional shifts depending on what's happening in their lives.

Have you ever wondered how 2 people could have the same exact same disease or ailment and

one seems to heal faster and the other just can't seem to improve?  Believe it or not, sometimes it just comes down to emotions.  You see, stress can not only exacerbate disease, it can actually cause some diseases. Therefore, if a person's emotions are not in order, no matter what type of treatment one pursues, it may never work with the stress of negative emotions being the barrier.

One very effective way to deal with emotions is by using Flower Essences.  The Bach Flower remedy system is a complementary therapy relying on diluted flower and plant material to correct emotional and spiritual imbalances. The system, developed in the 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach, consists of 38 different plant tinctures, designed to be used internally or externally. When we take the flower essence, it floods the body with a positive vibration that can break through emotional blocks and help raise awareness.  This increased awareness helps us make constructive changes in our lives, which, in turn, helps us find our way back to a balanced emotional state of peace and happiness.

In a nutshell, they just make you feel better, more relaxed and better able to handle what needs to be faced.  I should know.   Bach Flower essences helped get me through an ugly period in my life.  Eight years ago when we were struggling with our daughter's illness and she was so sick, I went through a roller coaster of emotions.  There was frustration, anger, resentment, depression, sadness-you name it.  I was fighting to keep a positive outlook.  After all, it was my daughter that needed the support  and focus, certainly not me.  Thankfully I discovered the Flower Essences.  After I started taking those drops every day (that pretty much tasted like water), I felt a calming effect.  It wasn't an instant switch.  I just remember a few days after starting the drops, feeling more calm and aware where things that bothered me before, suddenly didn't.  I was able to focus more.  It was strange when I realized that I was reacting differently in a more relaxed manner.   It was what I desperately needed.

The beauty of Bach Flower essences is that they can be tailor made for individual emotional issues.  Some blends help with general stress while there are others that help with depression, anxiety, grief, acute fear and panic, anger, etc.  It is amazing as these emotional issues even tie into weaknesses with certain organs in our bodies. We often find that anger is related to liver health whereas fear is strongly connected to the kidneys and adrenals.  Imagine how much better we would feel if our emotions were in check leading to balance in our bodies. These blends are even very popular with our pets that show distress from weather situations or strangers.

If you know anyone who may benefit from reducing stress by relieving anger, fear, sadness or other negative emotions, I am available for consultation for use of Bach Flower remedies. We can determine a tailor made blend.  Flower essences are safe for children, the elderly, pets and do not interact with medications.
