Join the Meridian Jacobs Team Now!
Celebrate Spinning & Weaving Week, October 7-13, by joining us in Spinzilla. Teams all over the country are out to compete for fame and glory (and prizes). Join your favorite team before September 23 and plan to spin as much yarn as you can during Spinning & Weaving Week. You can spin at home and send photos and yardage (singles) or you can join us here at Meridian Jacobs for a couple of special Spinning Days to be announced. In any case, after you sign up you'll be eligible for prizes to be drawn by the Spinzilla Committee and by Meridian Jacobs.

Shop Make-Over
Choosing a color
Most of you know that the shop has had a makeover--inside that is. The whole remodel idea started because I wanted to paint the outside before the coming winter. The inside is beautiful but we never got to the outside. It's going to happen this weekend--with the help of Farm Club! I'll post photos when its finished.

Three New Books
We just got three great new books in the shop. I have already sold out of the Spinner's Book of Yarn Design, but more on are the way. You can read
 about and order The Field Guide to Fleece on the website, but you'll have to e-mail me or come to the shop if you want Uniquely Felt right now. The IT department here at Meridian Jacobs department is ready to go on strike after trying to get this newsletter out in a rush and then being frustrated about computer issues. So no more new products on the website for today. But I do want to tell you about how great these books are--wonderful photos and inspiration. The Spinner's Guide also has pull out flash cards for reference to all the spinning techniques in the book.

Felting Classes
 Our felting classes were so popular this month that we are offering them again in September and October. Each class is only one afternoon and you will go away with a newly felted project and the ability to create more. See the dates and links on the left.
