Where's Robin?
Hope to be back in business soon! I guess you don't have to worry about being inundated by newsletters from Meridian Jacobs. It's been almost two months. Those of you who are local know that the shop has been closed for a remodeling job that got carried away. When the shop reopens there will be room to have looms and wheels and drum carders out and more space for classes. In anticipation of reopening in a few weeks I have scheduled several classes (listed on the left) and will plan an Open House during the summer. In the meantime the ewes are still growing fleece and the lambs are still getting bigger. Here is a video that will add a smile to your day:

Also, to add a personal note, I just got back from Texas where my youngest son competed in the Ironman Triathlon. Take a look at my blog for the story and photos. |
Jacob Lambs for Sale
Lambs are ready to wean now!
You can preview lambs on the website by clicking ram lambs or ewe lambs. There are also some adult ewes for sale. Contact me for current photos and more information. I used several rams last fall so there is a lot of genetic variety in the lambs. I am so impressed with wool this year. ALL have lovely fleeces.

Expanding Horizons in RH Weaving
Not just for rigid heddle looms!
There are dozens of finger-manipulated weaving
techniques that can add interest and complexity to your rigid heddle or floor loom weaving. Add creativity to your weaving by learning these techniques. This is a new class that I am teaching at CNCH in two weeks and I will also offer it here at the shop. Click this link to find out more.

New Fiber & Yarn
This photo is a preview of the new fiber that I will pick up on Friday. I will have it at Spinner's Day at the Winery in Livermore on Saturday, May 25 and at CNCH the following weekend. I'll have the yarn by then as well.
