I've Been Shopping!

I have have been out of touch--no newslet
Jacob ewe
"When did you say these lambs are due?"
ters since December. Where has the time gone? Teaching classes, custom weaving deadlines, and attending a favorite trade show where I found all kinds of new gadgets and toys for you. I will highlight them in this newsletter as they come in over the next few weeks. Yeah for the UPS truck!  As always you can purchase from the website or for much more than is listed there, visit the Farm Shop

Zoom Loom

Not shipped until April, but I have 5 here now!

Here is the most portable loom yet--the Zoom Loom by Schacht. Making these squares is addicting. This is faster than traditional needle-weaving because you wind yarn in 3 layers and use the large 6" needle to weave only the last threads that hold it all together. It doesn't take much yarn to make a 4" square and you can do this anywhere. I took a video of the Zoom Loom in use along with several project ideas. Click below to see the video and here to go to the listing on my website.

 Tame that yarn ball!

Whether you are a knitter or a weaver you need to control those wiley balls of yarn. They jump to the floor, play with the cat, or get tangled around the table legs, picking up dust bunnies as they go. With this fantastic tool you can avoid all those problems. The Wool Tree is made of maple or walnut, grown and made in the U.S. See the Wool Tree at this link.

Learn to Weave
Spring classes

I have heard from a lot of people who want to start weaving. Learn to Weave is a two day class that is appropriate whether you have never done any weaving, or if you have been weaving awhile but would like to learn more efficient mScarf woven in classethods. I take a maximum of four people in this class so you will get plenty of personal attention. The next class is scheduled for March 3 & 10.

The rigid heddle loom requires less investment of money, equipment, and time than a traditional floor loom. You can learn to weave using a rigid heddle loom in the one-day Simple Scarves class coming up March 23.

As with any of my classes, please e-mail me to let me know you are interested. I will e-mail a group of people to select dates when we can put together a class.

I hope to see you at our Open House April 6!
