People who don't take advantage of these opportunities could be leaving money on the table, or worse -- spending it unnecessarily. In this presentation, Brian will not only share the basics of crowd funding -- what it is and how to get involved -- but the opportunities for ancillary service providers as well as the future of equity crowd funding.

Nominate a Woman you know for the Women's Hall of Fame
The Maryland Commission for Women and the Women Legislators of Maryland are issuing a call for nominations for the 2015 Maryland Women's Hall of Fame. Candidates should be Maryland women whose achievements are of historical significance to our state. Historical and contemporary women are inducted each year.
The Calvert County Commission for Women (CCCW) encourages you to take this opportunity to recognize a woman in our community who has provided outstanding contributions to the state of Maryland. Past honorees include legislators, political and social activists, scientists, educators, writers, spiritual and community leaders.
The deadline is approaching as nominations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014.

Welcome Bags - you too can participate!
We have complete building the first 100 Welcome Bags for local realtors to hand out to home buyers. For most the businesses, we are running out or have a limited number of your material for the Welcome Bags. Either Lee or I have spoken to a few of you already and there is no need for you to reply. If you have any questions on what we still have on hand for your business, please call Lee, Monday-Friday 8:30am to 11:30. She is the Queen of the Welcome Bags and keeps everything neat and organized.
As always, you can call us to come by and pick up your material or drop it off at the office or at the Pack N Ship in Dunkirk.
I am very grateful for your participation and look forward to the continued growth of the Welcome Bags.
