Art in the Stacks 

 

Calvert Library Prince Frederick is hosting abstract multi-media works by Ann Crain.  Twin Beaches Branch is hosting watercolors by Sandra Holler.  Rene Cunningham, rcbythebay@mris.com, is the contact for artists interested in displaying their work at Prince Frederick.  Barbara Bowman is the Art Coordinator for Twin Beaches Branch and can be reached at 301-855-2283.

Clean-up

In the wake of last Friday's severe storm, the county continues today with clean-up efforts.

  

If your business sustained any damage for which you would like assistance from the Department of Economic Development, please do not hesitate to contact our office directly. 

 

Green tree debris is being accepted at the Appeal landfill at no charge to county residents through July 22.  Commercial, construction, household or other storm-related debris will be subject to regular landfill fees.

 

The following community centers can be used as cooling stations if needed: Northeast Community Center 4075 Gordon Stinnett Avenue, Chesapeake Beach Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

 

Mount Hope Community Center 100 Pushaw Station Road, Sunderland Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
