Heavenly Wine of the Week

BAREFOOT from Modesto, CA Everyone can find a Barefoot wine they like! And you're in luck. Heavenly has 5 to choose from: Cabernet Sauvignon: Big berry flavors like currant, raspberry and blackberry jam with a velvety vanilla finish. Lush and lasting, it's sure to make a big impression. Always stomps out a good time with beef, lamb and red sauce pastas. Pinot Grigio: Tart green apple flavors get down with a white peach undertone. Floral blossoms and citrus aromas do the tango. Light-bodied with a bright finish. Great with the three P's: poultry, (spicy) pasta and pizza!
White Zinfandel: Southern flavors like Georgia peach, sun-ripened strawberries, succulent pears and (even further south) pineapple create perfection. Try it over ice, y'all. Seafood feast, ain't nothing better! Shiraz: Deep breaths of lavender cut in front of dark berry and mocha flavors. A vanilla finish makes sure that it really is love at first sip. Love affairs include red sauce pastas, red meats and sharp cheese. Reisling: Hits all the right fruit-filled notes with perfect pitch. A delicate orange blossom aroma bounces off juicy apple and tangy lemon flavors for a slightly sweet finale. Plays well with others. Especially spicy foods, fresh fruit and mild cheeses. Bottle: 7.99 By the Glass: 3.50

Beach Elementary seeking donations
Dear Friends,
I would like to offer you a unique opportunity to contribute to the educational experience of our community's children. On Saturday, April 21st, the Beach Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) will hold our eighth annual Auction for Education-the Beach Bay Luau at the American Legion Hall in Chesapeake Beach. Beach Elementary School has been a vital part of our community for more than 50 years and the PTA is committed to supporting our students, teachers and staff.
We are seeking donations from our fellow community members to be auctioned for the benefit of our students. Funds raised by the auction will be used to allow teachers to try new curricula, provide for new technology in our classrooms and improve the school environment. Last year's event raised over $15,000 which helped to pay for upgrades to our facilities and programs that directly affect the educational experience of our students.
This year you can help with a donation of a unique item, gift certificate, service or package from your organization. An alternative donation might be to provide a unique experience (for instance, "Sheriff for a Day" or a guided tour of special place). The Beach Elementary PTA is recognized 501-3-c non-profit organization (FEIN #23-7031079) and, as such, your donation is tax deductible.
Last year we had over 200 people attend this free event providing wonderful visibility for your business to parents and community leaders. Word-of-mouth, as you are aware, is a powerful tool. Your organization will be recognized at the auction, both in our program and in information accompanying your donation.
Donations can be mailed to my attention at the school's address or arrangements can be made for pick up from local businesses. Please complete the enclosed Auction Donation Form to ensure that the details of your donation are recorded accurately. A letter of acknowledgment will be sent upon receipt of your gift.
Should you have any questions about the event or your donation, please do not hesitate to contact me at 410-257-0752 or orionpublications@yahoo.com. Thank you so very much for your time and generosity. I look forward to hearing back from you and would love to see you at the Auction!
Yours sincerely,
Sandy M. Hunting, Beach Elementary School PTA
