The New Site Is Live With A Section For
Local Club News

Hopefully by now as a Georgia and local leader you have checked out the new website at georgiaexchange.org and have noticed the section on the right side under "Local Club News"

We are depending on you to keep the local news flowing to us so we can post it as things happen.   Just send pictures and details to our new email address, [email protected] and it will go right up, and be posted to the District's Facebook page as well.

We will still be publishing our monthly newsletter for all Exchangites where we can feature outstanding events, but you don't have to wait to send the good news.

Thanks to all of the local editors who have already directed your local members to stay in touch with Georgia Exchange via our website.

We Would Love To Add You To The List
Speaking of Membership...

Words of Wisdom From
Our President-Elect

Ask yourself "Why am I in Exchange"?
  • Does it make you feel good?
  • Do you enjoy the programs of service?
  • Do you enjoy associating with you fellow members?
  • Do you enjoy helping the citizens of your community?
  • Does it give you a warm feeling in your heart to know your efforts are helping abused children?
  • Does it make you proud when your club presents a local firefighter or peace officer with the award for "Officer of the Year"?
These are just a few examples of why you should be "PROUD" to be a member of "YOUR" Exchange Club.

The next time you recruit a member,  ask them if they fell good about themselves. Ask them if they are satisfied with what they are doing to help their community and their country.  If they are not,  Let them try on Exchange to see it fits.

Good Luck on your Membership recruitment program.

Now what does April 15th mean to you? NO...not tax deadline!  April 15th is the deadline for all of our District Youth competitions completed forms to be in the hands of the various chairmen...and this is a FIRM deadline.

By now, your club Youth chair should have already met with local school officials and distributed the materials for these three great major award categories.

If you have not already downloaded the materials for each, here are your links as well as contact information for each program's Chair if you have any questions:

Mr./Ms. President-Elect...Are you on track
for your year?

Ticktock...ticktock...ticktock...

The clock is ticking fast for you and YOUR year is really just right around the corner.

Look familiar to you?  It should because this is YOUR checklist as President-Elect.  Are YOU following it?

If this does not look familiar, it's straight out of the Leading A Successful Club guide and you should pick up your copy and read it over or go on line at nationalexchangeclub.org and download your own personal copy right now.  If your club is to succeed...you must be prepared.

This is also a perfect opportunity for YOU to take the Exchange University course for Local Club President.  it will not only help you to prepare yourself for your year, it will get one of the mandatory requirements of the National Exchange Awards Program out of the way.

Just click on this link [email protected] , tell them you want to enroll in the course, and one of our fine staffers in Toledo will send the information right back and get you started.

If you need help in completing this requirement of your planning year contact your District Director.  They are YOUR support source in the Georgia District.  All contact information is available on our new website, georgiaexchange.org

But also President-Elect, don't forget to always ask yourself the question

"am I leading by example
?"

Did You Know Exchange Has...

Family Membership?

That's right, at the 2013 National Convention the Bylaws were changed for types of membership and now say:

FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
Active members may be eligible for Family Membership and shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of membership.
Individuals in a member's same household, including dependent college students, may qualify. The National Board of Directors shall have the power to establish such terms and conditions for Family Memberships.

What does that mean to your club?  Regular active member dues are billed to your club at $19 per quarter for the first family member and $10 per quarter for each additional family member.

WOW...your club can grow its membership by attracting family members and save $9 for that member in National dues.  WIN...WIN!
