East County Education Alliance wins award
The East County Education Alliance, a partnership between the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District and the Grossmont Union High School District, received a national Innovation of the Year Award from the League for Innovation in the Community College.

IVC students receive more than information at student health fair

Hundreds of Imperial Valley College students recently benefitted from a health fair, thanks to one of Imperial County's hospitals.
MiraCosta College
  MiraCosta College is set to see a huge boost in enrollment, thanks to a restructuring that will merge San Dieguito school district's Adult Education courses under MiraCosta's Continuing and Community Education programs.

The NAACP honored MiraCosta College President/Superintendent Dr. Sunita 'Sunny' Cooke and Counseling and Student Development Dean Dr. Wendy Stewart during a March 12 Salute to Women of Color Awards. 
  
Palomar College
Labor leader and activist Dolores Huerta addressed an enthusiastic crowd at Palomar College's Howard Brubeck Theatre on Tuesday, March 8. Her talk,  Achieving Equity through Education, was sponsored by the Palomar College Student Success and Equity Council and presented as part of Community College Region X Equity Week.
 
Palomar Comet Michael Moore is on his way to touching down in Syracuse Palomar College cornerback Michael Moore will join the Syracuse University football team as part of its 2016 recruiting class . Moore, 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, will transfer from Palomar and have three years of eligibility remaining.
