Cindy Miles
 Dear
 ,

Time and time again, I'm amazed by the incredible talent and skills demonstrated by the students, faculty and staff at Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges. We have a wide array of gifted actors, musicians, dancers, athletes, writers, artists, chefs and orators at our campuses.

I hope you will take the opportunity to experience some of the wonderful performances and events offered at the two colleges. They're just one of the many ways that Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges enrich our East County community and make it an even better place to live and work.

Thanks to everyone who has shown their support for our college district, and we look forward to seeing you on our campuses!

Sincerely,
Cindy L. Miles, Ph. D.

A full range of classes offered this summer at Grossmont and Cuyamaca

Summer will be sizzling at Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges!

The colleges will be offering three times as many courses this summer compared to last year, thanks to voters who passed a statewide tax measure last fall that increased education funding.

The summer classes offer a great way for students to enroll in prerequisite classes that can fill up quickly during the school year. Some of the classes both colleges are offering include history, biology, chemisty, sociology, math, music and psychology.

Registration begins April 29, and the first round of classes begin June 10. Class schedules are available on the Grossmont College and Cuyamaca College websites.

Coyote Music Festival rocks Cuyamaca
The Coyote Music Festival, featuring nine bands playing an eclectic mix of music on two stages, will be rocking Cuyamaca College on Saturday, May 4, from noon to 5 p.m.

 Coyote Music Festival

Admission and parking are free.

In addition to the bands performing on the grand lawn, food and craft vendors and street performers will keep the audience entertained. A farmer's market set up at Cuyamaca College campus each Saturday will also be extending its hours for the festival.

The music festival is a project of Cuyamaca College's music industry class, which teaches students what's involved in putting on a large-scale production, from auditioning performers to marketing and setting up the event.

A full listing of the bands is available on the festival website.
