PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT

Masters of Art in Social Work at Miami University 
Our MASW program will build your skills in Social Work Assessment and Intervention, broadening your employment opportunities in the social service field, including micro- (social service agencies, mental health, hospitals, and schools) and macro-level (government and non-profit agencies) practice. Our field education program allows students to put theories and interventions learned in the  classroom into practice. Fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Upon completing the MASW program, graduates will be eligible to become Licensed Social Workers (LSW) and work towards their Independent Licensure in Social Work (LISW). 30 Days, $40 UNLIMITED RIDES! Butler County RTA and Middletown Transit are proud to announce the arrival of the brand new 30 Day Pass! The 30 Day Pass costs just $40 and is valid for unlimited rides for 30 days. Your 30 day ride period does not start until your first ride. Use the pass to ride all Middletown routes and BCRTA U & R routesElderly? Disabled? Medicare card holder? Safe to Sleep® Community
As many of you may know, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Task Force on SIDS recently updated its recommendations for safe infant sleep. The article, SIDS and Other Sleep-Related Infant Deaths: Updated 2016 Recommendations for a Safe Infant Sleeping Environmentdraws on new research and serves as the first update to Academy policy since 2011. Please note that our current materials are still accurate. You may continue to order free copies of any publication we offer.


UC UCEDD
The University of Cincinnati University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UC UCEDD) is a federally funded center that addresses the needs of individuals who have developmental disabilities, their family members/caregivers and the professionals they serve. We need your help in finding out what the most pressing needs are of Ohioans who have developmental disabilities, their family members or caregivers, and professionals who work with or on behalf of people with disabilities. Sensory Santa at ABC Pediatric Therapy

Does your child struggle with the experience of meeting Santa? Sensory Santa provides children of all abilities a unique environment to meet Santa. Our Santa is also a Pediatric Physical Therapist and our Occupational Therapist elves help make the experience enjoyable for all children. Instead of waiting in line, the children play in our playground inspired gym and are then taken into a private room to meet Santa. Each family will receive one complimentary picture with Santa. The event is free to attend. Opiate Taskforce Public Session
Friday December 2nd, from 1-3 pm at the Miami Hamilton Campus-Wilks Conference Center. Join us as we hear from several area addiction treatment providers: where to go for help, what's new in addiction treatment, how to best access treatment, what forms of payment (including Medicaid) are accepted by which agencies. Get your questions answered. Area professionals, community members and the media are welcome!
