Kris Emerson is a lifelong resident of Saint Paul and has dedicated 20+ years of her life to Saint Paul Public Schools. She moved to Saint Paul when she started Kindergarten and attended Saint Paul Public Schools throughout her educational years. She has two sons, now grown with their own families, who also attended SPPS. Kris grew up with her mother being a part of the PTA at her schools and when Kris became a mother, she joined the PTA herself.
For nine years she served as a Parent Liaison on the West Side. This position was about getting parents involved through workshops and projects. She served as chair of a pilot program to create a school integrated between Saint Paul and Roseville, which is known as the Harambee School that is housed in the east metro district.
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Development Director for a new position focused on moving the organization's individual giving and overall fundraising efforts to a higher level. The position has significant potential for growth, both personally and organizationally.
Our positions offer experience in volunteer management, fundraising/grant making & research & evaluation, and we are looking for individuals excited about increasing academic achievement for low-income and students of color in Saint Paul.
