Medicaid EHR Incentive Program
A/I/U and MU Audits Begin
KDHE and Navigant recently began conducting audits of Medicaid EHR Incentive Program attestations in Kansas. Any eligible professional in Kansas who has attested to either A/I/U or MU in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program may be subject to an audit.
What should you do to prepare?
KAMU recently contracted with Health Data Specialists for MU services including a mock audit, a mini-readiness assessment, and training. All participating health centers were offered one service from HDS at no charge.
- If you elected to have HDS perform a mock audit, you will receive a report of their findings within a week. Begin remediation of all recommended corrective actions right away.
- If you already chose a service from HDS, but would now like to have either a current or previous year mock audit conducted, contact Angela Kaiser at akaiser@hds-llc.com or 217-775-9086 to request the service at a reduced rate.
- If you did not select a service from HDS and would like to have a mock audit performed, contact Terri Kennedy at terri.kennedy@synovim.org or 785-271-4180 to receive one service at no charge.
There are numerous articles and documents online discussing MU audits. Click here for a flyer from CMS. Contact any member of the HCCN Grant Project Team with questions.
