Names for Virtual Lecture Hall Needed by December 31st!

In October and November, we shared information with you about the Virtual Lecture Hall benefit for medical professionals working at Connections health centers.

Up to 3 medical professions employed by your health center can receive 7 CME credits, a $175 value, free of charge. All you have to do is provide their names to us.

If you have not already contacted Susan Wood, please do so by December 31st!

At the beginning of January, the pool of accounts will be opened up to all medical professionals employed at Connections participating health centers on a first come, first served basis. If you want this benefit for your staff, act now!

QRS Preliminary Data due by Wednesday, January 7th!

KAMU requests that all QRS reporting clinics submit their preliminary data into QRS by Wednesday, January 7, 2015, rather than Friday, the 9th. The reporting deadline has been adjusted to allow time to calculate aggregated data for advocacy efforts and creation of materials for your Legislative Day on January 28th.

The preliminary data consists of only two counts:

  1. Unduplicated Patient Count is to be reported in QRS, Patient tab, on the Preliminary Data page.

  2. Total Visit Count is to be reported in QRS, Staffing/Util tab, on the Preliminary Data page.

If you feel your clinic cannot meet the January 7th deadline, please email [email protected].

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

Because You Asked - Patient Notification Systems

The HCCN Grant Project Team has contacted several vendors offering text and voice messaging options for patient contacts.  The top products, ClientTell, Televox and CareMessage will be highlighted in 3 separate member updates. The products are not highlighted by preference, but by the order we received the information from the vendors.

Make automating patient outreach successful with TeleVox by:

  1. Reallocating costly staff resources and ensuring standardization while maintaining a personal touch for appointment confirmations (or any other patient engagement/outreach programs).

  2. Offering communication in the preferred method for individual patients.

  3. Improving the patient experience via more frequent (but not too many) touches in between visits. Encouragement, reminders and "gentle nudges" when appropriate.

  4. Reducing or maintaining current no-show/last minute cancellations.

TeleVox drives continuous engagement by connecting with patients through all phases of the care cycle through voice notifications, interactive emails, text messages, website design and maintenance, and on-hold messaging.

TeleVox customers pay a one-time setup fee and ongoing costs per message.
