What is ICD-10 and how does it affect you?
With industry attention so focused on clinical documentation and coding education the extent of impact the transition will have on the remaining team members is often overlooked. The ICD-10-CM transition is an organizational issue and is not limited to providers, coders or the IT department. The changes required to successfully transition an entire organization from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM are practice wide and are successfully achieved with a methodical approach, extensive planning and participation from all team members involved; beginning with an understanding of the task at hand. Attendees will be introduced to the code set and common concepts impacting daily processes and will attain the knowledge and skills required to effectively participate in the ICD-10 transition.
