What is Virtual Lecture Hall (VLH)?

VLH (VLH.com) offers online CME programs to meet medical (physician) licensing requirements for communication, professionalism, and systems-based care.

What type of credits does VLH offer?

VLH offers AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM intended for physicians (MDs and DOs) that hold licenses in the United States. However, this credit type is also accepted by some other medical professions, including PAs and Nurse Practitioners. Refer to the Q&A section of the website to determine the CME equivalency or reciprocity for other medical professions.

What is the benefit for Connections Participants?

Through a grant funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for the Kansas Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) HRSA-13-237, KAMU has contracted with VLH to provide three medical professionals employed at your health center the following benefits:

These benefits are FREE of CHARGE. The value of this opportunity is $175 per medical professional and up to $525 per participating health center.  After certificates for the 7 CME credits (per enrollee) are printed, additional certificates may be purchased for $25 per CME.

Additional accounts for your health center may be purchased.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is easy! Just send an email to Susan Wood (swood@kspca.org) to let her know the names and credentials of 3 physicians, PAs, or advanced practice nurses employed at your health center. VLH will set up the funding for their accounts and we'll send them a welcome email explaining how to access their account.

Who sponsors the courses on VLH?

All courses are sponsored solely by academic institutions or professional societies that have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.None have been underwritten by unrestricted educational grants from industry. All funding for VLH.com program development is generated from CME certificate fees or from federal research grants.
