Imagine my embarrassment when I stepped downstairs this morning and turned on Bloomberg and discovered there was trading today. My bad. I really did think the markets were closed. More about that later.
My day started out great. While cleaning my closet over the weekend I discovered a gift certificate to a high end day spa (Burk Willams). I booked a 50 minute deep tissue massage. Mohamed met me in the "quiet room". (I liked that place.) My voices were screaming at me as there was no noise.
We went to the appointed room and in a couple of minutes Mohamed was stabbing me with his elbow and his fingers were milking my spleen. As I sit here tonight, I can not remember my neck or back being so limber. I had a 90 pound German lady give me a deep tissue in Canada and when I saw here I asked myself, "How is that little thing going to do a deep tissue massage on this body?" Well she did and it was amazing and one of the best I have ever had. Mohamed comes in a very close second.
I made it home in time to pay the painters and meet with an awning contractor as our retractable awnings on our deck out back are getting shoddy 10 years after we bought them.
It was also time to close the market. We made a few tades that we'll discuss later. Then it was time to run jack up to his OLD school to hang with his buds. You responses to the announcement of Jack attending a new school were very much appreciated and very supportive.
Your reaction to my post about the person who was helped by their wealthy benevolent family was very supportive. I had one person say they liked my rant? I have never been accused of ranting before. Is that what a rant looks like? Anyway, thanks for the nice comments.
The only thing that went wrong today was the call I got for my dentist asking me to move up my crown procedure. I said sure go ahead and they said we'll see you in a few minutes. I asked when it was scheduled and they said two hours from now. I had forgotten all about it.
I headed over their and doc asked me how I was doing. I said my day began with a massage and now it will end with you and Jymmie sticking drills in my mouth.
Dentist must have just a touch of sadism in them to do their job. Who can forget Steve Martin in Little Shop Of Horrors.
Maybe Jack could become a dentist because he enjoys seeing me in pain. Two days ago we picked up his Football Helmet. When we got home I thought it would be cute to put it on. OMG, I forced it on so he could seem me and it nearly ripped off my ears, squeezed my head so hard I though I was going through a birth canal again, then we could not get it off. Jack was pulling and laughing and I felt like an infant they use those special salad tongs on to get the baby out.
Jack just could not stop laughing. No wonder those football players are so angry all the time.
Anyway, Jack and I finished the day by moving surplus carpeting to our warehouse. The electricity is on and the water should be back on tomorrow. This is going to be fun. Dave Hanna has offered some very special artwork. I can't wait.
BTW, Dave and a company called Escrow.com is putting together a golf tournament next Monday to benefit Wounded Warriors. CLICK HERE
Devin and I are sponsoring a foursome (Rumor has it my Captain Mike Ameel has coerced Bobby Grich of Oriole and Angel Fame to be on our foursome.) I want to ask you all a favor. If you have ever enjoyed one of my blogs, or ever hated one of my blogs, or ever read one of my blogs, follow the link and make some kind of donation for this worthy cause.
If you are a local, bring a check by Hanna's and get it to Dave. For the rest of you, the address is there. (Dave your donation link is not active as of 11:18 tonight.) Pleas help our guys and galls who have given so much for us. Thanks in advance.
